our Turning Leaf® Coastal Reserve collection,
we search California’s prime Coastal wine regions
and select the best region for each style of wine.
For our 2000 Chardonnay, we primarily selected California’s
Northern Coastal region for its range of flavors
and climatic influences. This region experiences
a prolonged growing season from the cool Pacific
Ocean, adding character to the grapes. The wine
expresses itself with a light golden color while
portraying vibrant apple and soft vanilla flavors
and aromas. |
Winemaker
Notes:
Succulent apple, pear, and grapefruit as well as
toasted oak flavors on the nose continue through
to the taste of the wine. The texture of the wine
is medium bodied, with soft oak characters through
its dry finish. We recommend this wine to be served
with scallops, Mediterranean based pasta dishes,
as well as a wide variety of grilled tuna, chicken,
and pork. |
