For our Turning Leaf® Coastal Reserve collection, we search
Californias prime Coastal wine regions and select the best region for each style of
wine. For our 1999 Merlot, we primarily selected Californias Central Coast growing
region. The Central Coast experiences a prolonged growing season as a result of the cool
Pacific Ocean breezes. This extra "hang-time" on the vine accentuates the plum
and cherry flavors of the berries. Black pepper spice and fresh herbal qualities
understate ripe raspberry aromas and flavors. Our Merlot is a medium-bodied wine, with a
rich juicy texture. Soft supple tannins provide balance and elegance for a pleasurable
drinking experience on its own or when paired with foods. |
