ANAPAMU
SYRAH
Central Coast
2000

A large portion of the grapes for this vintage of Anapamu Syrah came from our Sunnybrook vineyard in Paso Robles, northeast of the town of Templeton in California’s Central Coast. This area is becoming known for producing Bordeaux, Rhone Valley and other Mediterranean varietal types due to its extended growing season, with sunny weather moderated by maritime breezes. Anapamu Syrah is a rich crimson color, with enticing aromas of ripe black cherries, violets, and sun ripened plums that follow through on the palate. The wine is full bodied, with white pepper flavors balanced by a rich, meaty texture, which amplifies the wine’s richness.
Varietal Content: 97% Syrah, 1% Petite Sirah, 1% Malbac, 1% Tannat
Residual Sugar:   .2
Titratable Acidity: 0.61g/100ml
pH: 3.76
Alcohol Level: 13.9%
This wine pairs well with game and robust meat dishes and more simple preparations such as roasted chicken with rosemary and garlic.
